What is the Process of Preparing My Will and Other Documents?

  • STEP ONE: 
    • Contact The Rivera Law Firm.  We will briefly discuss your wishes, concerns, and address any other issues you may have.  During this initial consultation, we will discuss a general overview of what you should expect and I will provide you with a client information questionnaire. 
  • STEP TWO:
    • Complete the client information questionnaire to the best of your abilities.  If you have any questions about the questionnaire, do not hesitate to contact me.  Once completed, return the questionnaire to me through mail, e-mail, or fax (all the information will be provided to you beforehand). 
  • STEP THREE:
    • The Rivera Law Firm will contact you to discuss payment and to schedule an appointment in order to sign the Attorney-Client Fee Agreement.
  • STEP FOUR:
    • The Rivera Law Firm will draft and complete all the necessary documents to accomplish your estate planning wishes. 
  • STEP FIVE:
    • You and I will review the drafted documents in order to determine that all of your wishes are fulfilled.  All changes or corrections will be made in a timely fashion.
  • STEP SIX:
    • A Will Execution Ceremony will be performed.  You will need to provide two witnesses who are willing to sign your Will as witnesses.  A notary public will be provided.
